Frédérique Bedos, or the journey of a woman determined not to give in to resignation!

Convinced of the need to strengthen each and every one of us in our capacity to take action, she left the glittering world of TV to create Le Projet Imagine - Humble Heroes, an information NGO aiming to encourage as many people as possible to take action to build a world that is fairer and more sustainable. Now recognized by the United Nations, which has given Le Projet Imagine special consultative status, the NGO is driving its commitment by producing inspirational films (social documentaries and telling the story of Humble Heroes) and by implementing various programs to support people taking action, in schools, cities, businesses and prisons.

For 15 years, Frédérique was a journalist and speaker on TV and radio, in France and worldwide, in the prestigious prime time slots. In 2010, she decided to use the power of the media to create a vast movement of civic engagement and made films that focused on "journalism with hope" as an editorial line. She tells this story in her autobiography: “The Little girl on the Swing".

In 2017, as an activist for peace, Frédérique received a Knighthood of the National Order of Merit. She is also a member of the Scientific and Strategic Council of the Normandy World Forum for Peace and, since January 2018, patron of the organization Bleuet de France. Next September, the Catholic University of the city of Lille will be awarding Frédérique with the title of Doctor Honoris Causa.
