Hugo Mercier, is a French engineer with degrees from Ecole Polytechnique, Supaero, and UC Berkeley in Computer Science and Mathematics. At the end of his studies, at the age of 21, he founded Dreem, which has become a world leader in neurotechnologies and sleep technologies.

Based on a laboratory discovery with a team of neuroscientists on a new method of brain stimulation, he founded and developed Dreem to tackle the global epidemic of poor sleep. In 6 years, at the head of Dreem, he will have developed a team of 100 people based in Paris, New York and Taipei, raised $60M from world-renowned health investors, and developed within Dreem several consumer, medical and research products.

He is the winner of the MIT 35 Under 35, the Vanity Fair 30 Under 30 (as well as a dozen international innovation awards) and has published a book by Editions Stock "A la conquête du sommeil" with a preface by Dr. Laurent Alexandre. He has appeared in more than 300 international media (press, radio, television) and has given dozens of private (such as at Dassault) or public (such as Ted or Hello Tomorrow) conferences to talk about science, technology, entrepreneurship, or health. He also advises companies and entrepreneurs on their strategic issues.
